The team consists of 18 experienced and dedicated staff managed by John Warren and Lady Carolyn Warren, owners of Highclere Stud. Key members include:
Brian O’Rourke, Stud Manager & Yearling Manager
Brian joined Highclere from sales consignor Jamie Railton where he was Head Lad at Tanglin Farm for over three years. Brian also has plenty of international experience, having spent 10 years working in the USA for Grade I trainers Shug McGaughey and James Gulick. He has also prepared yearlings in The Southern Hemisphere for Haddow Stud in West Australia.
Diego Romeo, Assistant Manager
Having been a trainer in Italy for five years and a pupil assistant for Clive Brittain, Diego joined Highclere Stud. He has also gained stud experience at Derrinstown Stud in Ireland and Pin Oak Stud in USA.
Juan Navarro-Reverter Taboada, Assistant Manager
Juan has spent a lifetime involved in thoroughbred breeding on major stud farms in Ireland and England. He was manager of the Newmarket based Chevington Stud for eight years until he went to Spain to run Torre Duero, the family farm which developed into a top TB stud with four stallions and an average of 65 mares. Their success includes winning the 2009 Spanish Breeder’s Statistic.

Emma Whitehead, Personal Assistant to John Warren
Having worked for several large corporate companies in various administrative roles, Emma joined Highclere in early 2008.
Marie-Louise Grande, PA and Stud Secretary
After serving five years as a British Army Officer Marie-Louise joined the Highclere Stud team in January 2010.
