Stallions

Since it was founded in 1902 Highclere Stud has a long history of standing successful stallions, and it is continuing this proud tradition with star miler Paco Boy.  The three-time Group 1 winner takes up stallion duties in 2011, whilst Epsom Derby winner and exciting young sire Motivator is also managed from Highclere Stud by John Warren.

The most recent stallion at Highclere was the Group 1 winner and Group 1 sire Dr Fong.  He stood at the stud from 2000 to 2009.

Since the war, stallions at Highclere have also included Champion sires Chanteur, sire of 1953 Derby winner Pinza, Queen's Hussar, sire of Champion miler Brigadier Gerard, and Champion first-season sire Troy and Champion sire Efisio. The latter was an excellent sire of high class performers including Group 1 winners Attraction, Hever Golf Rose, Frizzante, Le Vie Dei Colori and Pearly Shells. Other recent sires to have stood at Highclere Stud included Homing, Teenoso and Sharrood.
