Stallions

 

Since it was founded in 1902 Highclere Stud has a long history of standing successful stallions, and it is continuing this proud tradition with star miler Paco Boy.  The three-time Group 1 winner retired to stud at Highclere in 2011.

 

In addition, the Epsom Derby winner and exciting young sire Motivator, who stands at The Royal Studs, is managed from Highclere by John Warren. 

 

Stallions at Highclere Stud have also included Champion sires Chanteur, sire of 1953 Derby winner Pinza, Queen's Hussar, sire of Champion miler Brigadier Gerard, and Champion first-season sire Troy and Champion sire Efisio. The latter was an excellent sire of high class performers including Group 1 winners Attraction, Hever Golf Rose, Frizzante, Le Vie Dei Colori and Pearly Shells. Other recent sires to have stood at Highclere included Homing, Teenoso, Sharrood and Dr Fong.
