John Warren is widely regarded as one of the world's leading bloodstock agents.

 

He combines the purchasing of yearlings and mares at public auction for independent clients with overseeing all of the Queen’s racing and breeding interests in the role of Her Majesty the Queen’s Bloodstock and Racing Advisor.

 

Amongst the 100 plus Group/Stakes winners purchased as yearlings is the Epsom Derby winner Motivator, St Leger winner Sixties Icon and Irish Oaks winner Petrushka. Numerous top class horses have also gone on to international success, with the likes of Cloudings (Gr.1), Jovial (Gr.1), Park Express (Gr.1), Leadership (Gr.1) and Artic Owl (Gr.1) to name but a few.

 

Clients who have owned Group/Stakes winners purchased by John in his capacity as a bloodstock agent include: Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Prince Khaled Abdulla, Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, The Royal Racing Club, The Duke of Devonshire, The Duke of Roxburghe, Lord Vestey, Sir Ernest Harrison, George Strawbridge, Bill Gredley and Paul Roy.

 

Headquarters for John Warren Blockstock is at Highclere Stud where the management of the syndicated stallions Motivator and Dr Fong takes place. From these offices John also works in an independent advisory role to a number of high profile stud farms based in the UK.
